     I alla fall ligger det i sakens natur, att Professorn i Latinet är den, som minst kan vänta sig andra än studerande till åhörare, i synnerhet i en småstad, der han icke har tillfälle att läsa öfver klassisk archæologi, som måhända vore det enda ämne af större intresse för en blandad allmänhet.

     In any case, it is in the nature of things that the Professor of Latin is the one who can least expect anyone other than students as an audience, especially in a small town, where he does not have the opportunity to read about classical archaeology, which might be the only subject of greater interest to a mixed public.

     Denmark's literature, both scientific and fiction, is, as you know, quite rich; – the former perhaps most brilliant in Old Norse archeology and linguistics.

     The docent in Nordic archæology magister N. G. Bruzelius ventilated on May 24 a thesis published by him with the title: »Description of Swedish Antiquities as well as a brief presentation of the older Iron Age in northern and central Europe» (118 pp. 8th with 6 plates.)
