From Sanskrit ऋश्य (ṛ́śya, antelope) + miga (from Sanskrit मृग (mṛgá)), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *Hŕ̥ćyas + *mr̥gás, the first component from Proto-Indo-European *h₁el- (deer).
