third angle projection (countable and uncountable, plural third angle projections) (engineering)

  1. (uncountable) A method of technical drawing where the front view of the object is placed in the third quadrant, the side view is to the right, and the top view is above it. (More common in North America.)
  2. (countable) A drawing produced in this style.
